Tony and his wife, Beth, love living in Old Brooklyn. Tony graduated from Boyce College in Louisville, KY but is a born and raised Cleveland native. He returned to Cleveland in 2013 to begin the church planting work and is excited for the planting of a new church in Old Brooklyn. He has a heart for seeing peoples lives changed by the good news of Jesus Christ. His favorite sports teams are the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Indians.
Denisse and Hector Candelaria are both natives of Puerto Rico. Hector grew up in a pastoral family and has served as Youth Leader, Musician, and Band Director. Hector and Denisse met in the same church where his Father pastored. They got married in March 2012. Hector is currently an online student in The University of Phoenix completing his B.A. in Security Organizational Management, and after that he plans to pursue an M.Div. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Denisse finished her B.A. in Social Work in May 2017 from Cleveland State University and now works for The Centers for Families and Children. Our calling is to pursue the Latino community of Cleveland with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Bill Beiter – Music Minister
Bill Beiter serves as the Music Minister at Gateway Church Old Brooklyn. He and his wife, Melanie, love using their musical abilities to magnify the greatness of God. Bill grew up in Memphis, TN but now they call Cleveland home. He has an associate’s degree in Recording Arts and Technology. Bill has a love for sharing how the good news of Christ has changed his life and how the good news of the gospel is available to all. His love for music leading in worship to God has led him to be part of the church planting work in Old Brooklyn.
